The main task of this project was a CAE simulation.

This rig is used during the aircraft’s maintenance process for dismounting of the aircraft’s engine. Although the design of the engine rig was already completed, our customer’s wish was to check if the design provided is appropriate for its purpose of use.

The customer provided the 3d model of the rig, images about how the rig is mounted onto the plane and what load it needs to carry. Based on this info we ran the simulation and created a report our customer needed to get the design approved.

In a nutshell, the project included:

  • definition of loads and boundary conditions
  • CAE simulation
  • interpretation of the simulation results
  • a CAE report

The design passed the simulation check and our customer could proceed with the manufacturing.
